Friday October 31st.
Shodokan Trinidad hosts Soke Mark Barlow of Akayama Ryu Jujutsu to share his wide ranging martial arts experience with our students and special guests. Soke Barlow has trained for many years under many notable teachers including Shihan Tetsuro Nariyama, Technical Director of Shodokan Aikido. Soke Barlow holds Black Belts in Kodokan Judo, Shodokan Aikido, Tomiki-Ryu Aikido, Jikishinkage-Ryu Aikijujutsu, and Seki-Ryu Jujutsu and is the designated successor of the leadership of Akayama-Ryu Jujutsu. Soke Barlow is also a member of the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers and is certified as a Defensive Tactics instructor.
NOVEMBER
Tuesday November 11th.
Shodokan Trinidad hosts a mini-seminar as the first part of an ongoing plan to raise public awareness of Aikido in Trinidad and the wider Caribbean region. This seminar takes place at Shodokan Trinidad's dojo at the Woodbrook Youth Facility and is open to all members of the public regardless of martial style or affiliation. Prior experience in the martial arts is not necessary for participants. This seminar will cover some of the basic practices and philosophy of Aikido, basic techniques and their practical applications and an introduction to randori or free practice. The seminar will run between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 PM at a cost of TT$50.00 to participants. For more information please contact the dojo. Contact information can be found by clicking here. Friday November 14th
The Trinidad and Tobago Aikido Club (Shodokan Trinidad) becomes an official member of the Trinidad and Tobago Judo Association.
Saturday November 15th.
Shodokan Trinidad will perform an Aikido demonstration at the Trinidad and Tobago Judo Association's National Tournament at Pleasantville. For further information on this tournament, please contact the TTJA here.

Outdoor weapons training session and beach lime at Las Cuevas, open for all past and present members of Shodokan Trinidad and their families.

Last day of training for 2003. Training restarts on Tuesday January 6th, 2004.

Saturday 27th March, 2004.
Shodokan Trinidad will be putting on an Aikido demonstration during the break interval of a Judo tournament being conducted at the Jean Pierre Complex by the Trinidad and Tobago Judo Association. The tournament is scheduled to begin at 2:oo P.M.
Sunday 28th March, 2004.
Outdoor weapons training session and beach lime at the 100 Steps Beach, open for all active members of Shodokan Trinidad. Members are asked to bring along Jo, Bokken and any food and drink they wish to consume afterwards.

As part of its 10th Anniversary celebrations the Trinidad and Tobago Aikido Club (Shodokan Trinidad) is pleased and honoured to host Shihan Fumiaki Shishida, 8th Dan Director of the Japan Aikido Association and Shihan for the Japanese Kanto (Western) Region, and Sensei Manuel Vargas, 4th Dan of Tomiki Ronin Dojo, New York. During their one week visit, these two Shodokan Aikido Instructors will be conducting classes at the TTAC dojo as well as seminars in Aikido fundamentals, weapons, self defence applications and competition techniques. One of these seminars will be available to the public. This will be held on Wednesday June 2nd from 6:00-9:00PM at Room 1, Woodbrook Youth Facility, Hamilton Holder Street, Woodbrook. The cost for the session is TT$150.00 and is open to all martial artists and non martial artists. A flyer for the event can be downloaded by clicking here.
